The iThenticate database, which is used by users with a PhD degree and above to determine the similarity rate in academic studies, will switch to the iThenticate 2.0 version as of July 15, 2025.
The new platform will serve via https://bilkentuniversity.turnitin.com/
In this context;
• On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, access to the iThenticate platform will not be available due to the system migration process.
• Classic iThenticate (v1) accounts currently in use will be canceled.
• As of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, an invitation e-mail will be sent to our academics with active accounts in the system from noreply@turnitin.com.
• With this invitation, users will be able to access the new version at https://bilkentuniversity.turnitin.com/.
• The content of users with active accounts in the current system will be automatically transferred to the new platform.
In order to avoid data loss, it is strongly recommended that all our users check their accounts and documents and make the necessary backups before the transition.
However, the following users and data will not be transferred to the new system:
• Users who have not logged into the system in the last two years and have no content in their account,
• Duplicate accounts with no content,
• Deactivated users with no content,
• Contents that have not been indexed, and a similarity report has not been generated.
