The Visually Handicapped Room was founded on 25 December 2008 with the support of the Bilkent University Alumni Association (BILMED) and the Bilkent University Alumni Center. The Room is currently located in Main Campus Library, A-Block (ground floor). The Visually Handicapped Room contains braille resources, Pearl camera, Jaws computer screen reader, tape recorders computers, and a printer suitable for visually handicapped users. Users can search library resources on these computers, can print Braille texts, and can use the Internet. The Visually Handicapped Room is under the supervision of the reference librarians on week days between 08.30-17.00, and at weekends between 09:00-17.00.
