Bilkent University Library is organizing a Career Experience Program for undergraduate students studying Library and Information Science!
Within the scope of the program, participants will have the opportunity to observe workflows across different library units, take part in ongoing practices, and gain first-hand professional experience. They will also gain insight into the operations, projects, and innovative approaches that shape library services behind the scenes. Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the program.
Program Scope:
- Observing workflows in Technical Services, User and Access Services, and Administrative Services & Institutional Communications units
- Gaining insight into areas such as digitization projects, user-centered service design, and special collections management
- Becoming familiar with the software and applications used in librarianship
- Engaging directly with library professionals
Application Dates: April 13–19, 2026
Announcement of Results: April 20, 2026 (afternoon)
Program Dates: April 27–28, 2026 (2 days)
