DESCRIPTION:Dear Bilkent University Members\, \nWe are pleased to announce that a special photography exhibition titled “40 Years of the Bilkent University Library” will be held at the Library Art Gallery from April 1 to April 30 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Bilkent University Library. \nThe exhibition brings together visual memories that reflect the library’s journey from past to present and invites visitors to rediscover its role as a place for learning\, research\, and a “third place.” It will feature photographs from the library archives as well as a selection contributed by our users. \nWe warmly invite all our users to explore this collective memory and celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bilkent University Library together at the exhibition opening\, which will take place on Wednesday\, April 1\, 2026. \nBest regards\, \nBilkent University Library \nDate: 01.04.2026 – 30.04.2026\nExhibition Opening: April 1\, 2026 | Wednesday | 1:30 p.m.\nPlace: Main Campus Library\, Art Gallery \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Bilkent University Library Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary! \nWe invite you to the panel titled “40 Years of Bilkent University Library” where we will reflect on the story of our library\, which has supported academic work\, research\, and campus life for four decades\, and discuss its vision for the future. \nThe event will begin with a special video interview featuring members of Bilkent University’s academic staff sharing their reflections on the Library’s role in their academic and research journeys. Bringing together perspectives from different disciplines\, the video interview highlights the Library’s lasting contributions over the years. \nFollowing the video screening\, a panel featuring our library’s founding director\, Dr. Phyllis L. Erdoğan\, who served in this role from 1986 to 2005; Assoc. Prof. Dr. David E.
