TERMS OF SERVICE - SAFARI TECH BOOKS ONLINE

YOU MAY
access the titles available under the current subscription quota;
download and store sections of a book's contents onto your hard drive or other storage device for your use only for as long as that book remains available under the current subscription, whereafter you shall delete any such portions off all hard drives or storage devices;
reproduce portions of books under the current subscription to use as quotes in other publications, up to an aggregate of 250 words from any single book (so long as the publisher is given proper attribution in any publication or other medium in which the quote appears);

YOU AGREE
that the content of the books are protected by copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights and that these rights are valid and protected in all forms, media, technologies, existing now or hereinafter developed;
not to modify, remove, delete, augment, add to, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, create derivative works from, or in any way exploit any of the content of the books, in whole or in part, except as provided in this Agreement or as permitted by the fair use privilege under the U.S. copyright laws (see, 17 U.S.C. Section 107);
not to use "web spiders" or any other automated retrieval mechanisms when using Safari other than what is provided by Safari;
not to time-share, loan, or otherwise allow others access to the Service through Bilkent University's subscription;
to notify the Bilkent University Library of any known or suspected unauthorized use(s) of the subscription to the Service, or any known or suspected breach of security.
